How to play in 60 seconds
Collect flight cards
Draw two cards a turn from the face-up row or the deck. Eight colors, plus the First Class wild that counts as any color.
Claim a corridor
Spend a matched set of one color to claim a corridor of that length between two cities. It is yours for the rest of the game. Length one scores a point; length six scores fifteen.
Finish your itineraries
Secret Itinerary tickets pay out if your network connects their two cities, and cost you if it does not. The longest continuous path earns the Globetrotter bonus.
Race the clock
When a player runs low on planes, everyone gets one last turn. Add up routes, itineraries, and bonuses. Highest score wins.
Frequently asked
Is Skylanes free?
Yes. Skylanes is free to download and play, with no ads and no account required.
What devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad on iOS or iPadOS 17 or later, and Apple Silicon Macs, where Skylanes runs as a Designed for iPad app. iPad is the ideal table.
Do I need the internet or an account?
No. Solo against the computer, pass and play on one device, and nearby games over Bluetooth or local Wi-Fi all work with no account and no connection. Only optional online matches use Apple Game Center.
How does online play work?
Online matches run turn by turn through Apple Game Center. Make your move, and the game holds the state and notifies your opponent when it is their turn. No one has to be online at the same time.
Can we play in a group text?
Yes. The Skylanes Messages experience lets you take turns right inside a conversation. Make your move, send the bubble, and get on with your day.
How many people can play?
Two to five players. Add computer opponents to fill out a table or to practice solo.
What does Skylanes do with my data?
Nothing. The game keeps your saved game and settings on your device and collects no personal data. See the Privacy Policy for the details.
How is Skylanes related to Row1?
Skylanes is published by Row1 LLC, the team behind Row1, the flight logbook and travel game. Skylanes is about the routes you wish you flew. Row1 tracks the ones you actually do, with over three hundred badges and your whole flying life on the map.
