Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Skylanes is a strategy board game for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, published by Row1 LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the Skylanes app and the skylanes.app website do, and just as importantly, what they do not do, with information about you.

2. Information the app collects

By default, the Skylanes app collects no personal information. You do not create an account to play. The game runs on your device, and the only data it keeps is your gameplay itself: your saved game, settings, and preferences. This information is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us.

3. Optional online play (Apple Game Center)

If you choose to play online, Skylanes uses Apple's Game Center to match you with other players and to pass turns back and forth. In that case your Game Center identity (the alias and player identifier that Apple assigns you) and the state of your match are handled by Apple's Game Center service so the game can be delivered to your opponent. We do not receive, store, or build a profile from this information beyond what is needed to run the match. Game Center is provided by Apple and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Online play is entirely optional; you can enjoy the whole game without it.

4. Playing over Messages (iMessage)

When you play inside a Messages conversation, your move is encoded into the message bubble you send and travels through Apple's Messages service to the people in that conversation. It stays within your conversation. We do not see, receive, or store the contents of your Messages games.

5. Playing nearby (Bluetooth and local Wi-Fi)

Nearby play connects the devices in the room directly to each other over Bluetooth or your local Wi-Fi network using Apple's peer-to-peer networking. Game data moves only between the players' devices. Nothing about a nearby game is sent to us.

6. What we do not do

• We do not show advertisements.
• We do not use third-party advertising, tracking, or analytics SDKs.
• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or photos.
• We do not access your precise or background location.
• We do not sell, rent, or share personal data, because we do not collect it.

7. The website

The skylanes.app website is a simple marketing site. It does not set advertising or tracking cookies and does not run third-party analytics. Web typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which may receive your browser's IP address as part of serving those fonts, subject to Google's Privacy Policy. If you email us, we receive the message you send.

8. Children

Skylanes is suitable for players of all ages and is not directed at children under 13 for the purpose of collecting data. Because the app does not collect personal information or offer accounts, it does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

9. App Store privacy label

Consistent with this policy, Skylanes is submitted to the App Store as Data Not Collected. Where a future feature would change that, we will update both this policy and the App Store label before the feature ships.

10. Changes to this policy

If we add a feature that changes how information is handled, for example an optional Row1 account for cross-app features, we will revise this policy and note the new effective date here. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
